Antique Romanian Parade Ribbon Pin "Regna Maria" Photo Sept. 11, 1926 Detroit, Mich. Blue Yellow Red Queen Maria

We have many items from Romania over the years. Our family is from Romania in 1912.

My grandfather wore this ribbon proudly as a Romanian in Detroit, Mich. in 1926. Please see the last photo. My grandfather is standing with the hat on.

This ribbon is two sided. The back is in black and is also stamped as is on the front.

The ribbon has a celluloid "MEMBER" bar at the top from which hangs a medallion showing Queen Maria of Romania "Regna Maria". It is a beautiful picture of her in her royal crown.

The ribbon is stamped in gold lettering:
REUNIUNEA
FEMSLOR ROMANE
REGNA MARIA
DETROIT, MICH.
SEPT. 11, 1926

Marie (born Princess Marie Alexandra Victoria of Edinburgh; 29 October 1875 – 18 July 1938)[note 1] was the last Queen of Romania as the wife of King Ferdinand I.
Marie was born into the British royal family. Her parents were Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh (later Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha), and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia.

As queen, Marie was very popular, both in Romania and abroad. In 1926, she and two of her children undertook a diplomatic tour of the United States. They were received enthusiastically by the people and visited several cities before returning to Romania.

We have tried to do our research to see if Detroit was a stop she made along the way.

The ribbon denotes the colors of the Romanian Flag.

There gold bullion fringe at the bottom.

There also is a horizontal safety pin on bar, one small loop on medallion.

Approximately 7" in height and 2 1/4" in width.

We believe the ribbon is made of silk bullion thread.

This is an amazing piece of Romanian history and the history of Romanians in the early years in Detroit.

It is in great condition. We would consider it museum quality.
