These brass hooks were originally from the Fisher Building in Detroit, Michigan. My father's office was there on the tenth floor. He was the 2nd tenant in 1050 Fisher Building.
The Fisher Building is a landmark skyscraper located at 3011 West Grand Boulevard in the heart of the New Center area of Detroit, Michigan. The ornate 30-story building, completed in 1928, is one of the major works of architect Albert Kahn, and is designed in an Art Deco style, faced with limestone, granite, and several types of marble. The Fisher family financed the building with proceeds from the sale of Fisher Body to General Motors. It was designed to house office and retail space.[3]
The building, which contains the elaborate 2,089-seat Fisher Theatre,[4][5] was designated a National Historic Landmark on June 29, 1989.
The larger hook is an amazing piece of Art Deco style architectural hardware. Approx. end to end 9". The bottom hook is 4". The decorative flat plate has two holes for mounting - 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".
The smaller hook is approx. 5 1/2". The lower hook is 2". The flat plate is 1" x 1". Please note the green patina on the smaller hook.
This sturdy coat and hat hook is built with extra thick, hand-forged iron. The lower hook holds lighter items and jackets while the upper is perfect for heavier coats and bags.
Use them alone, or grouped together on a coat rack or decorative back plate.
