Vintage 1970’s Mama Carlota Maxi Dress Tlaquepaque Escalera Made in Mexico Size 8 Purple
The deep purple handmade, hand dyed cotton fabric dress has magnificent long sleeves that are lined in cotton batik by ESCALERA in a wonderful animal motif design.
The sleeves are 43″ long x 16″ at widest point.
They taper up to 4″ at the attached point of the shoulder.
This dress is an incredible piece of art.
Gorgeous, handmade embroidery on the chest 13″ x 7″ in bright colored thread.
We purchased this amazing piece in Tlaquepaque, Mexico in 1973.
Full length is 53″.
The wide full base of this dress is 28 1/2″.
The bust line 15 1/2″ across.
There is a 19″ zipper down the back with a hook closure at the neck.
This is a one of a kind, exquisite maxi dress in excellent condition.
