Vintage ’67 Coat & Dress Mohan’s Woman’s Custom Hand Made Black Gold Brocade Purse Made In Hong Kong

This three piece ensemble is in excellent condition.
The beautiful label in the coat:
MOHAN’S LTD 14-16 HANKOW RD KOWLOON HONG KONG
Their tailoring was beyond compare in the 1960’s.
This outfit was handmade for my mother while we were in Hong Kong in 1967.
My Mother’s initials are hand stitched in red silk thread inside the right side of the coat " B M C" in script. It is hand sewn on a separate "polygon" piece of silk fabric. Just below the initials is a stunning 6" "looped" pocket. So much incredible detail.
The Coat:
The fabric is "EXCELLENT SILK MILL MADE IN HONG KONG". Also considered metal brocade in a black and gold floral motif. We have to swatches of the fabric.
The Peter Pan collar is 2 1/2″ wide in the front and widens to 4" in the back. Length is 53 1/2″ long in the front and 52″ in the back of the coat. Bust: 21″ Sleeve: 18″ Hips: 23 1/2″ Widest at the base is 32 1/2′ For the front closure there are four 1" intricately hand sewn buttons (two extra buttons included).
The inside lining of the coat begins with the 5" wide black and gold metal brocade in the floral motif. Next, is the stunning yellow quilted 100% silk lining 6" wide is embossed with an oriental logo for MOHAN”S. The rest of the lining is done in shiny yellow 100% silk. Fully hand stitched with silk piped edges.
The Dress – Cheongsam:
100% Silk Length: 51" Bust: 36" Sleeves: 14 1/2" Back closure 22" zipper Classic Cheongsam 1 1/4" collar with a hook closure in the back of the neck. 15" Vent in the back.
The matching clutch - purse:
4 1/2" x 10" Gold tone snap closure inside zipper pocket 5" Gorgeous matching piece
This set is magnificent. The masterful tailoring is impeccable. An amazing one of a kind fashion statement. I have tried to describe this outfit as best I can, hoping to be complete. More photos are always available.
