The Moroccan kaftans inspired European and global designers as Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, and many more who made the Moorish caftans famous in the 1960s and 1970s.
The Moroccan cotton brocade kaftan is a stunning.
This kaftan could have taken well over a month to be created and embroidered by hand on semi-sheer Moroccan loose weave cotton "slumbs", brocade braid in shades of green and stitched white. The fabric is just beautiful.
The sleeves at the wrist are absolutely beautiful in heavy brocade braiding 3" to 4" wide finished by 2 ball buttons with loops.
Every detail is edged in hand embroidered green and white trim and it gracefully closes between the breasts with 18 small knotted ball buttons with loops.
We consider this amazing piece, a work of art and museum quality.
