1970's Detroit Artist Mary Ewald Pen And Ink Art Female Elegantly Dressed Titled "The Opera" Mary Ewald '77'

We have a large collection of Mary Ewald various art forms. Pen and Ink, canvas bags, and ornaments. She loved cats and many of her cat pieces are adorable and super whimsical.

Her art work was often showed at the Coach House Gallery that was located on Van Dyke Place in the West Village in Detroit, Michigan. Please see the last photo for an old newspaper article in reference to her showing at the gallery. Detroit Free Press dated Dec. 3, 1981.

Mary did love the Opera and would dress for the occasion. This pen and ink actually could be a self portrait of her as we were friends many moons ago.

All of Mary's works are one of a kind. Many of her pieces will be listed in our Etsy Shop.

This charming piece is just lovely. Stunning fascinator with tremendous detail to her hair. Wrapped in a luxurious shawl covering a black and white abstract gown with a short train. Nylons and black pointed heels. Signed "The Opera" Mary Ewald '77'.

The piece is matted in a muted brown. Approx. 2".

The image is 7 3/4" x 5 3/4".
