Vtg 1970's Map Of Australia Tea Towel Wall Hanging All Pure Linen Designed In Australia Made In Poland Hand Printed NWT
We have several tea towels from the 1970's. I had a best friend that lived in New South Wales near Bateman;s Bay, Our collection came as gifts way back then. Never used, This towel is new with tags.
This amazing towel is truly a work of textile art.
It is the map of Australia and Tasmania. Included in fabulous colours and detail are the State Emblem Flowers, Fauna including various marsupials, birds and lizards indigenous to Australia. Plus the lower right hand corner shows the Produce.
Along all the edges are "degree" lines with the longitude and latitude.
Along the base: ALL PURE LINEN DESIGNED IN AUSTRALIA HANDPRINTED
Original gold and blue foil label 2" x 1 1/4": PURE LINEN HAND PRINTED FAST COLOURS
Along the right lower side: DES REG 5005
Remarkably, this gorgeous piece has the label on the reverse side: Pure Linen Made In Poland.
So interesting and unique.
Really an outstanding piece.
