Vintage 1934 World Series Navin Field-Issued Program Detroit Tigers Vs. St. Louis Cardinals
This program is from our large collection of vintage baseball memorabilia.
Issued at Detroit’s Navin Field during the 1934 World Series, this official program may very well hail from the decisive seventh game, a one-sided contest that was marred by unruly fans pelting St. Louis outfielder Joe Medwick with debris.
In one of the most exciting World Series, the Gas House Gang St. Louis Cardinals won a hard fought seven-game series over the G-Men Detroit Tigers. This finished a run by the Red birds of five World Series appearances over a nine year stretch.
The 40-page publication features text and black-and-white likenesses of the hosts, as well as advertisements for local establishments. The covers are showing a little vintage ware, the middle page is loose. Both score pages have light pencil writing on each.
We are by no means professional graders. This program is sold as is.
