Vintage 1940's Women's Simulated Pearl and Satin Collar Choker Made In Japan Handmade Ivory
This gorgeous piece has been in my family for many years.
It is a one of a kind collar - choker that has an unique construction.
There are dozens of simulated pearls sewn in two rows on fabric by hand in a "V" shaped pattern. In between the two rows are hand sewn thin glass tubular beads in a faint shade of tan. The pearl - bead layer lays on a 1" layer of ivory satin. Just exquisite!
The piece needs a new closure. I chose not to replace it. Thinking that it would be a buyers clear decision. The piece itself is in outstanding, excellent condition.
On the reverse side: hand sewn label on white fabric with red stamp: MADE IN JAPAN.
If you want to make a magnificent fashion statement, this is the piece for you.
It is just stunning. Quite the show stopper.
