Vintage 1965 Morocco Lot Of 7 Memorabilia 1 Map 4 Travel Books Marco Leather Coin Purse Mini Fez & Babouche Shoes
In 1965 my family spent 2 weeks in Morocco. We stayed in Rabat and traveled all over the country.
We have many wonderful items from this trip.
The map of Marco is just beautiful. The artist name is R. Ravier 63. Truly suitable for framing. It is folded in excellent condition. It was given to us when we rented our car from HERTZ RENT A CAR in Casablanca. The reverse side is done by the OFFICE NATIONAL MAROCAIN DU TOURISME. So much information in such a different world then.
There are four tour books: TAZA OUJDA, CASABLANCA, TANGIER LARACHE - ASILAH, AND THE FASCINATING SOUTH MOROCCO. Each book has about 12 pages. Really very fasinating.
Included is a handmade amulet of a mini fez and blue and gold leather babouche. They sit on a plastic ring: Marco with a star and the word written in Arabic. On the reverse: Roses des Sables Modele Despose. It has a yellow and green cord for hanging.
Lastly, is the handmade leather coin purse in yellow. It is covered in 13 old stars and the word MARCO. It twists open to 2". Fabulous construction.
All pieces are in excellent condition.
