Vintage Peruvian Carved Gourd Retablos Nativity Christmas Folk Art Carved On Outside Of Gourd
This nativity scene is from our large collection of vintage Christmas items.
Absolutely stunning. So much tremendous detail. The artwork is really amazing.
This amazing piece of folk art is one of a kind.
On the base are two pink "feet".
15" Circumference and it is 4 3/4" tall. When the doors are opened it is approx. 10" wide.
The outside is meticulously hand carved in the form of Peruvian Folk Art. It's design is beautiful.
The two doors are attached with small pieces of 1" leather straps to make the hinges.
The figurines are so colorful and placed perfectly.
On the right side are very colorful and charming Nativity figures, the holy family and others including manger animals. The left side features native Peruvians celebrating the Savior's birth.
So whimsical and yet a fantastic presentation of this unique Nativity Scene.
Excellent condition.
