We have a large collection of Mary Ewald various art forms. Pen and Ink, canvas bags, and ornaments. She loved cats and many of her cat pieces are adorable and super whimsical.
Her art work was often showed at the Coach House Gallery that was located on Van Dyke Place in the West Village in Detroit, Michigan. Please see the last photo for an old newspaper article in reference to her showing at the gallery. Detroit Free Press dated Dec. 3, 1981.

This charming Christmas ornament/doll is just precious. Handmade and hand painted. This sweet girl has a wonderful outfit on of red "flowers" with green bric brac and silver sequins that adorn her dress. Her eye lashes are long and lovely. Her necklace is made with green and silver sequins. They kitty is poking out of her green pocket. The back of her long hair is tied off with a red bow. Pink ribbon to hang her up is 2 3/4".
Signed by the artist on the back of the ornament, M. Ewald. This and all of our Mary Ewald ornaments are from the showing indicated in the newspaper ad.
