Vtg 1970's Detroit Artist Mary Ewald Pen & Ink Art Christmas Ornament Angel Signed By Artist Handmade 12"
We have a large collection of Mary Ewald various art forms. Pen and Ink, canvas bags, and ornaments. She loved cats and many of her cat pieces are adorable and super whimsical.
Her art work was often showed at the Coach House Gallery that was located on Van Dyke Place in the West Village in Detroit, Michigan. Please see the last photo for an old newspaper article in reference to her showing at the gallery. Detroit Free Press dated Dec. 3, 1981.

This charming Christmas ornament/angel/doll is just precious. Handmade and hand painted. This sweet angel is beautiful in silver & blue sequins that adorn her dress. The halo is silver and blue sequins. Her eye lashes are long and lovely. Her necklace is made with blue nd silver sequins and pink lace. She has gold and pink bric brac with pink lace. Her wings are hand painted with silver sequins. A pink grosgrain bow tops off the front of her dress. The shoes are silver sequins. The back shows off her long black, wavy hair. Another pink grosgrain ribbon and bow completes the back.
Signed by the artist on the back of the ornament, M. Ewald. This and all of our Mary Ewald ornaments are from the showing indicated in the newspaper ad.
