Vtg 1970's Mexican Bohemian Dress Handmade Hand Embroidered Beige Green Black Star Pattern M
I purchased this dress in Tlaquepaque, Mexico.
The workmanship on this dress is incredible.
This one of a kind piece is considered museum quality,
There are six separate individual pieces of 100% cotton broadcloth. They are stitched together to make the whole one.
Delicate embroidery attaches these uniquely shaped cuts of fabric.
It has an empire waist with a cross stitch hand embroidered belt loop in black thread. The belt is also hand embroidered in the most noteworthy way.
Shoulders: 16″F
Empire waist to hem: 38 1/2″
Puffed short sleeve: 5” Wide and 7″ Long finished off with a black and green thread tie
Neckline: 7″
The pattern is a four star/ diamond intricate motif in green and black thread flowing through the entire dress.
There is 5 1/2″ of the same needlework at the hem line.
This piece is new with out tags in excellent condition.
In conclusion, this is a truly remarkable find and a fantastic work of needlework art. A fantastic piece of art.
