Vtg 1973 Handmade In Tlaquepaque Mexico Metal Cigarette Case One Of A Kind Beautiful Patina
I absolutely loved this cigarette case. I brought it home from Mexico in 1973 and used it regularly.
So unique and astatically attractive, female or male.
Very slender 4" x 3" 1/2.
Hand hammered applied metal brass abstract figures are on the lid. One brass bird at the top of the case.
Surrounded by 5 keys and 4 locks in brass. Finished at the bottom with 5 brass feet.
In key symbolism keys represent knowledge and success. They can open doors which are closed to other than the key holder. Possessing a key gives a person access to locked rooms.
The key is also a symbol of freedom and liberation.
It is in excellent condition. The back of the case has some patina as well. You can see the base metal with strips in a silver/gray color.
One of a kind piece of metal art. Could, of course be repurposed for a small, flat box in some fashion. It could also be displayed as a piece of art. So sophisticated in appearance.
