Now the history of Poupee Millet dolls:
The history of the Poupee Millet started in Paris in 1981 when two artists, Serge Chichportich, born in Paris, France and Pablo Peres, born in Buenos Aries, Argentina, became business partners and created the idea to make "poupees". In 1982, within a few months of having experimented with various ideas concerning the poupee design, (in a studio outside Paris), the first "poupees" were ready to be presented. They were given the name, "Poupee Millets" because the artists decided to fll them with Millet. Today Poupee Millets are filled with tiny resin balls, so they can be hand washed should the need arise.

Poupee Millets have become very popular because of their unique style. No two poupee are alike. Each is individually handcrafted then dressed in a myriad of exotic fabric and signed by the artist. The popee Millets are true works of art.

After five years in business together, Serge and Pablo decided to go their own ways. Pablo stayed in Paris to do his own poupees, although one year later he decided not to make them anymore and sold his studio. Serge on the contrary decided to go to America and opened his studio, where he is stays in charge if the creation and quality, so important to himself and his customers.

Serge has been the only artist that has signed the poupees since 1982 and of the two original artists who started the business in Paris, France, he is the only one remaining. Since 1981, he has been committed to making the "Poupee Millets" and his new creations based upon the original technique and style created in Paris.

She is truly one of a kind.
