Vtg Double Sided Reverse Glass Painting Chinese Snuff Bottle Glass Signed By Artist BORKIN Green Stopper Woman In Hand Original Box
This exquisite handmade glass snuff bottle was brought home by my parent's from their 1994 trip to China.
This piece is two sided. One on front side: BORKIN written on the middle of the front. The bottle is shaded in white, yellow and orange. It is an ocean scene with floating squid and fish. Incredible work. The reverse side of the glass is flat. It shows two very long squid with ocean ferns flowing in the ocenan.
The green glass colored lid/stopper has a cork base that fits perfectly into the glass bottle.
The original box is included. Fabric covered, in a floral red, white and blue geometric pattern. Beige muslin cloth pads the inside of the box. The closure is a plastic sliding piece that slips into a fabric slit. The box itself is lovely.
This piece is truly magnificent. Amazing fine detail and incredible reverse glass painting.
We deem this piece to be one of a kind. We believe this snuff bottle was made before 1994.
