Vtg Inu Hariko Dog Doll 3 Drums 4 Bells Figurine Dog Vintage Japanese Doll Folk Craft Symbol of Protection Kimekomi Doll

This doll is from our huge collection of vintage dolls from around the world. We brought him home with us from our trip to Tokyo, Japan in 1967.

He is just beautiful and in great condition. The fabric and colors are fantastic. Amazing construction.

Approx. 5 1/2" x 7".

Four little brass bells are dangling from the three drums. The drums are attached to the dog by a pink ribbon bow.

A kind of traditional Japanese papier-mâché dog doll, considered to be a ward against evil.
