Vtg Pair Of Soda fired Hand Thrown Ceramic Pottery Vase In Tones Of Blue & Hint Of White Signed By Artist
This stunning two piece set is from our large collection of vintage pottery and ceramic art.
The small piece has a pear shaped base: 5" tall with a 2" opening. A beautiful and unique shape.
The taller piece is 6" tall with a heavily glazed opening that is 3" wide.
The base of each piece is signed by the artist and a yellow "circlar protector" is on each one. The signature is bit hard to discern.
Each piece is in excellent condition.
Weight: 3 lbs. total.
Soda firing is an atmospheric firing technique where “soda” is introduced into a kiln when it's at temperature. The soda vaporizes and is carried on the flame throughout the kiln. The soda vapors create a glaze when it lands on a piece for unique effects.
